Description

Application of Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) to a packed column is presented. Liquid flow is monitored at two levels of the column, using 99mTc as a tracer. Two dimensional activity maps can be reconstructed, showing some channelling of the liquid at the surface of the walls. Activity histories can be computed as a function of time, in 24 regions of interest in the cross section of the column. (authors)
