Influence of the length of start gap on the characteristics of trigatron spark gap

Description
Time characteristics of three-electrode discharger for 50 kV in dependence on the trigatron unit design parameters, ignition pulse amplitude, gas pressure are presented. It is shown that the ignition pulse threshold amplitude does not depend on nitrogen pressure within the range of 0.3-0.8 MPa and diminishes with decrease in the spark gap length. 5 refs., 3 figs
