Description
EPR investigations of diamond implanted with 335 MeV nickel ions have demonstrated that singlet line of dominant paramagnetic centres (PC) has a shape which can be described as a super-Lorentz because of more intensive wings then Lorentzian. Different spectra characterising each layer of irradiated region have been obtained. Depth distribution profile of concentration of dominant paramagnetic centres has been also studied. Peculiarities of defect production in irradiated diamond are discussed in terms of low-dimensional structures formed in diamond by swift ions taking into account the origin of dominant PC as mobile quasi-particles.
