Description
The physico-chemical and manufacturing basis for reprocessing of uranium industry wastes of Northern Tajikistan shows that the best perspective for reprocessing wastes is from the Chkalovsk tailings. The engineering and geological conditions and the content of radionuclides in wastes are investigated. It is determined that considered wastes, by radioactivity, are low-activity wastes and can be reprocessed with the purpose of U3O8 production. Crushing, grinding, thickening and etc., operations are decreased during the waste reprocessing process. Uranium output is more than 90%. Optimal parameters of products extraction from uranium industry wastes are revealed. Mine and technical waters characteristics of uranium industry wastes are studied. Mine and technical waters characteristics of Kiik-Tal and Taboshar showed the reasonability of uranium oxide extraction from those sites. Besides, the possibility of local materials use - apricot shells as a sorbent for uranium extraction from sewer mine and technical water of mining and milling enterprises, is presented.
