Oil shock 'imminent' if heavies are slow or expensive to produce

Oil production levels will peak and start to decline within three years - leading to higher prices, a scarcity of oil and the probability of another 'oil shock' to rival those of the 1970s. Or, the peak will be delayed for a decade or two by technological advances - and the exploitation of new heavier oil products will prevent problems. (author)
