Excitation of coupled waves in plasma periodic structures by relativistic electron beam and acceleration of charged particles
Description
A process of electromagnetic excitation in plasma periodic structures by relativistic electron beam and a possibility of parametric excitation of plasma semi-space slow surface wave are investigated. Parametric coupling of external radiation and surface wave is realized by a periodic unhomogenity of plasma density which can be created by ion-sound wave excitation. A two-beam scheme of acceleration in coupled slowing down structures is proposed. 15 refs.; 15 figs. (author)
