Description

SPECT / CT, performed after administration of a therapeutic dose of 131I, reveals the retention of activity of the iodine within hemangiomas of the liver. This retention, to our knowledge not reported in the literature, can cause false positives during the follow-up of thyroid cancer treated by 131I.
