Synthesis and characterization of some transition metal complexes derived from N-salicyloylamido-N'-benzoyl-thiocarbamide (H2SBTC)

Description
The synthesis and characterization of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and UO22+ complexes of N-salicyloylamido-N'benzoyl-thiocarbamide (H2SBTC) are reported. Elemental analyses, molar conductivities, magnetic and spectral (UV, visible, IR) measurements have been used to characterize the complexes. The IR spectra show that H2SBTC behaves as a neutral bidentate, a monoanionic bidentate or tridentate and a dianionic tetradentate ligand
