Scale effect in superplastic titanium alloy
- 1. AN Kazakhskoj SSR, Alma-Ata. Inst. Organicheskogo Kataliza i Ehlektrokhimii
Description
Effect of sample size under the tension of an experimental titanium alloy with aluminium, zirconium and vanadium on its mechanical properties is investigated. A stable tendency to the plasticity growth with the reduction of length of sample operating part is ascertained. Investigation into the deformation picturegraphs in combination with true flow stresses has shown that the observed phenomenon is first of all connected with deformation localization development
