Atomic transport properties
Description
The microscopic theory of atomic transport in liquid alkali metals is briefly described. Self-diffusion in atomic transport is discussed with respect to the hard sphere model, linear trajectory approximation, small-step diffusion theory, thermally activated state theory, and free volume theory. Other transport properties considered are: viscosity, thermal conductivity, dynamical properties, and atomic transport in liquid alloys. (UK)
