Multiplicity experiments with α and 12C induced reactions

An analysis is presented of multiplicity experiments of the 160Gd(α, xn), 158Gd(α, xn) and 150Nd(12C, xn) reactions. The side-feeding multiplicities for several γ-ray energy intervals are presented for the reactions at various bombarding energies. The (α, xn) data all show the general behaviour of a relatively small multiplicity for the low energy γ-rays and high multiplicity for high energy γ-rays, particularly at high bombarding energies. The (12C, xn) data show the highest multiplicities at low energy γ-rays at all bombarding energies. (C.F.)
