Feasibility of boron estimation by monitoring the growth of radioactivity of gold-INAA
Creators
- 1. Analytical Chemistry Div., Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai (India)
Description
Trace amount of boron (lμg - 20 μg) with the constant amount (1.02 μg) of gold was irradiated in neutron flux (1012 cm -1 S-1) in Apsara Reactor. The growth of radioactivity at 411.8 keV photopeak of 198 Au was measured and correlated with the concentration of boron along with the gold. It is the polynomial function over the range of (lμg - 20 μg) of boron and it is linear function in the ranges of 1μg - 5 μg and 5μg - 20 μg of boron contents. (author)
