Description
With the aim of developing energy driver for inertial confinement fusion, this study conducted the interaction experiment of relatively light ion beams with high density plasma, as well as the development of electron beam excitation KrF excimer laser. In the experiment on the interaction between pulsed ion beams and high-density plasma, high-density ion beams such as lithium were generated with a pulse power diode, and only reference beam components in terms of space, time and energy were extracted and driven into high-density plasma. The multiply ionized collision cross-section associated with the plasma-driven conversion process of various kinds of high energy ions from monovalent/polyvalent ions to higher multivalent ions was experimentally obtained. In addition, the authors developed an electron beam excitation KrF excimer laser to develop a laser excited active diode using electron beam excitation KrF excimer laser. A coaxial Marx generator was used to generate electron beams, and laser output characteristics with respect to fluorine concentration in laser gas were shown. (A.O.)
