Core distortion behaviour operating experience in France

Description

The two experimental French reactors RAPSODIE and PHENIX have brought very useful informations on the core mechanical behaviour: pre and post-irradiation measurements, specific devices to follow the displacements of some subassemblies. They led to improve the knowledge of the irradiation laws, of the wrapper tube (WT) distortions, of different materials for the WT, and to develop and validate the calculation codes. (author)
