Active diagnostics of Raman scattering in a plasma during nonlinear mixing of electromagnetic waves

Description

Active diagnostics of combination scattering is discussed for such conditions when the final dimension of the crossing range of supporting wave bunches is of great importance. It is in this region that the coherent plasma wave where scattering takes place is excited. The process of plasma wave growth with time in a two-dimensional geometry is considered. The reflection (scattering) coefficient of the probing wave is determined. Definite examples showing that the account of limitations in the range of bunch crossing is most important during the excitation of ion-sound waves, the scattering on which permits to determine plasma temperature, its flow velocity, the degree of nonisothermality, are shown
