Polarization effects in vector meson electromagnetic decay (rho → π+1++1-, A1 → π+1++1-)
Description
Angular and energy distributions of decay products .of polarized vector and axial mesons with production of V → P+l++l- and A → P+l++l- lepton pair, where V, A and P are vector, axial and pseudoscalar mesons, l is a lepton, are investigated in the general form. Study of polarized phenomena in A → P+l++l- decay permits to determine both complex electromagnetic formfactors of the vertex APγ* in the region of time-like momentum transferred. It is disclosed that A1 → π+l++l- decays may turn to be most useful for study of p-odd effects in the processes of A1-meson production. Analysis of p-odd effects in V → P+l++l- decays for one-photon mechanism (at the expense of distortion of P-invariance in the electromagnetic vertex VPγ* (γ.* is virtual γ-quantum) is conducted
