TEM investigation of the effect of He-seeding on plasma induced defects in tungsten

Description

Highlights: • Recrystallized and plastically deformed tungsten samples are exposed to a mixed He-D plasma. • A high dislocation density and cavities are found near the exposed surface. • No impact anymore 1–5 μm below the surface. • He/D ratio of the plasma or the plastic deformation have no significant influence.
