Nonlinear effects in mirror machines
Description
The Rosenbluth-Post convective instability in mirrors is discussed. A brief theoretical discussion of the saturation of absolute modes is given. The containment properties of mirrors in the presence of ion cyclotron waves are discussed. (U.S.)
