Economic and scientific problems concerning the intensification of maintenance processes in power plants

Description

The maintenance of conventional power plants as well as of nuclear power plants operated in the German Democratic Republic is discussed. Emphasis is laid on measures of cost and manpower reduction and on achieving increased reliability as well as availability of the facilities are recommended. Procedures in relation to computer-aided planning of maintenance, optimization of maintenance cycles, application of modern methods of materials testing, and monitoring as well as repair based on modular exchange of defect components
