Investigation of α- and γ-radiolysis of phosphoric acid aqueous solutions and radiolytic reduction of americium (6) in these solutions
Description
The reduction of Am(6) and formation of Am(3) in phosphoric acid solutions under α- and γ-radiolysis conditions were studied. The yield of H2O2 in α- and γ- and the yield of H2 in α-radiolysis of phosphoric acid are reported. α-radiation was provided by 210Po; α-radiolysis of Am(6) solutions in H3PO4 was a result of 243Am and 241Am (with 244Cm added) own radiation. The sourse of γ-radiation was 60Co. A mechanism of Am(6) radiolytic reduction is suggested
