Labeling studies of proteins using bifunctional chelates: the desferrioxamine-human serum albumin (DF-HSA) conjugate

  • 1. University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USA)

Description

Coupling the chelating agent desferrioxamine-mesylate (DF) to human serum albumin, using either ethy-(dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide (ECD) or glutaraldehyde (GL) has been carried out. The MSA-DF conjugates were radiolabelled with 67Ga citrate and treated with urea to increase labelling efficiency. Biodistribution and blood clearance were studied in rabbits using a scintillation camera. (U.K.)
