Information about influence of the Mochovce NPP on the environment, September 2007

In this paper results of monitoring of chemical gaseous and liquid effluents into the Hron River as well as of radiation monitoring of Mochovce NPP Units 1 and 2 are presented. The radioactive effluents into atmosphere within September 2007 were: 3.74 MBq of aerosoles, 9.241 MBq of iodine-131, and 129 GBq of rare gases. For the period January - September 2007 these radioactive effluents into atmosphere represented 8.33 MBq (0.0049% of annually limit (AL)) of aerosoles, 9.423 MBq (0.014% of AL) of iodine-131, and 2.077 TBq (0.051% of AL) of rare gases. The radioactive effluents into recipient of Hron River within September 2007 were: 747 GBq of tritium, and 1.30 MBq of corrosive and fission products. For the period January - September 2007 these radioactive effluents into recipient of Hron River represented 5.553 TBq (46.3% of AL) of tritium; 8.84 MBq (0.80% of AL) of corrosive and fission products. Dose equivalents rate for the villages in surroundings of the Mochovce NPP in September 2007 are published. Chemical effluents are also reported.
