Creators
- 1. Newcastle upon Tyne General Hospital (UK). Regional Medical Physics Dept.
Description
Some aspects of the performance of 132 X-ray tubes and generators used in diagnostic radiology are reported. Measurements were made for single and three phase systems of a variety of manufacturers. These include 1) effective peak tube voltage, 2) X-ray tube output and reproducibility, 3) exposure time and 4) half value layer and total filtration. For all aspects of performance examined, no significant overall difference between manufacturers was seen. (U.K.)
