Roentgenoelectron spectroscopic investigation of neutral organic phosphorus compounds and their complexes with neodymium chloride
Description
The X-ray electron investigation of a number of neutral organophorphosus compounds is carried out. It is determined that the electron density on phosphoryl oxygen as well on a phosphorus atom grows as the sum of the electronegativities (EN) of the phosphorus atom substituents reduced. The X-ray electron line shift for these elements correlates well with the atom charges estimated by the EN levelling method using the EN group according to Geffe and Hinze. The results of spectral studies of complexes of neutral organophosphorus compounds with neodymium chloride suggest that the interaction between an extracting agent and a salt of a metal in effect occurs by the electron donor-acceptor mechanism-charges of interacting atoms level out. The method allows to determine the charge of the charge state not only of the interacting atoms, but of their immediate environment as well. (author)
