MR angiography of meningioma

The clinical evaluation of three-dimensional time-of-flight MR angiography (MRA) was prospectively performed in seven patients with meningioma. MRA with gadolinium made it possible to depict the topographic relationship between tumors and vascular structures. In three of seven patients, feeding arteries of the tumors were well recognized. In one patient, enhanced MRA gave a more precise description of the transverse sinus encasement by tentorial meningioma than conventional angiography. Arterial compression was shown in two cases. This paper suggests that MRA with gadolinium is useful for surgical treatment and is a valuable alternative to conventional angiography
