Mechanism of solid-phase synthesis of alumogarnets of rare earths

Description
Mechanism of interaction and formation sequence for phases at synthesis of Ln3Al5O12(Ln = Dy-Lu) garnets from oxide mixture is investigated. It is shown, that rare-earth oxide interaction with aluminium oxide occurs due to Al primary diffusion in Ln2O3. Sequence of phase formation at rare-earth alumogarnet synthesis from oxide mixture. Monostage of solid phase synthesis of Ln3Al5O12, as well as, dependence of reaction mechanism on lanthanide nature are shown
