Description

The management of the O.E.E.C. High Temperature Reactor Project (Dragon) invited leading graphite experts from research organisations and industry in all O.E.E.C. countries to a symposium on graphites to be used i n high temperature reactors. The symposium was held in Bournemouth, Hampshire, in November 1959. Most of the participants, who numbered about. 90, came from England; the next strongest delegations came from Prance and the Federal Republic of Germany, It was the aim of the symposium to inform industry about the graphite problems of the Dragon Project, It reported especially on the progress made on the provision of suitable graphites, the various raw materials and the different methods of impregnation.
