Description

We report preliminary results of searches for high Psub(T) single electrons and for high Psub(T) electron pairs in the UA2 experiment at the CERN antipp collider. 35 single electrons associated with events with large missing transverse momentum are measured, and are compatible with antipp → W+X and W → eν; eight observed high Psub(T) electron pairs, with invariant masses around 90 GeV/c2, are, interpreted as resulting from antipp → Z0+X with Z0 → e+e-(γ). We then describe the production and the properties of high transverse momentum hadron jets. Cross sections for inclusive jet production and for two-jet invariant mass distribution up to 270 GeV/c2 are presented
