Recent Results and Future Prospects of the Laser Electron Photon Experiment at SPring-8

  • 1. Research Center for Nuclear Physics, Osaka University, Ibaraki, Osaka 567-0047 (Japan)

Description

We have been studying the hadron photoproduction reactions with a polarized photon beam and a forward spectrometer at the LEPS experiment. The photon beam is produced by the Compton scattering of the laser light with the high energy electrons at SPring-8. From our recent activities, the preliminary results for the Θ+ search with a deuterium target have been reported. A new beamline project is proposed for further confirmation of the Θ+ with larger acceptance detector, wider energy range, and with higher statistics
