Construction of concrete hot cells

Description

The calculations are valid for point cources of 60Co with an average photon energy of 1,25 MeV. They may also be applied to line or volume sources. In these cases the concrete densities or wall ticknesses are on the safe side. For sources showing a marked line or volume character a special calculation for line or volume sources is recommended. Die Berechnungen gelten fuer Punktquellen aus Kobalt 60 mit einer mittleren Photonenenergie von 1,25 MeV. Sie sind auch auf Linien- oder Volumenquellen anwendbar; die Betondichten bzw. Wanddicken liegen in diesen Faellen auf der sicheren Seite. Bei Quellen mit stark ausgepraegtem Linien- oder Volumencharakter wird eine besondere Berechnung fuer Linien- oder Volumenquellen empfohlen. (orig./HP)
