Is there a future for material fatigue research?

Description

Due to the fact that it is quite difficult to get new funding for (fundamental) wind turbine material related fatigue research the authors started a discussion with the following title: Are there still wind turbine engineering specific fatigue problems? and What are the research goals for the fatigue experts in wind engineering for the second half of the 90ies. In this paper the present status of the fatigue issue and the discussion following is reported. (au)
