Guidance for a radiological emergency exercise applied to the tabletop

This document provides a guide for planning and conducting a tabletop for emergency exercise planners of state, local governments, and utilities of a nuclear facility to response the radiological emergency incidents. The organizations and their duties for the tabletop exercise were described in this guidance, which were composed of 3 time periods: First, the planning period is to fix the scale and milestone of the tabletop exercise. Second, the conduct period is to perform in accordance with a exercise scenario. Finally, the post-tabletop period is to prepare and distribute the final report. This guidance is intended as a reference tool to develop an integrated approach on the national emergency exercise plans. (author). 6 refs
