Outer-sphere electron transfer in aqueous solutions of lithium hexacyanoferrates

Description
The process of electron transfer between hexacyanoferrate-anions in aqueous solutions in the presence of Li+ cations was studied by the spectrophotometry method. The results obtained are compared with data for K+ and Me4N+-systems. An explanation was suggested for the observed effect of cationic catalysis of electron thermal transfer in homogeneous and heterogeneous systems, which is based on analysis of electron transfer distances (contact distances between anions) in activated complexes
Abstract (Russian)
Методом спектрофотометрии изучен процесс переноса электрона между гексацианоферрат-анионами в водных растворах в присутствии катионов Li+. Полученные результаты сопоставлены с данными для K+- и Me4N+-систем. Предложено объяснение наблюдаемого эффекта катионного катализа термического переноса электрона в гомогенных и гетерогенных системах, которое основано на анализе расстояний переноса электрона (контактных расстояний между анионами) в активированных комплексахAdditional details
