Energy effective technology for pellet production

Description

The press biomass in the briquettes or pellets is one of the most perspective directions for development of RES in Bulgaria. Used present technologies for pelletizing are with too match energy consumption - from 8 to 13% of energy containing in the pellets is used up for the process of pelletizing when dry material is used; from 10 to 25% - when the process for drying of wet material is used and from 18 to 35% - when wood chips is used including drying. In present paper possible technologies for decreasing of energy consumption of two basis process are consider - pressing and drying processes - real most energy intensity of the process of pelletizing. The analysis is made on the basic of technological line, which Denima set in operation in the present season. The energy consumption for pelletizing process decrease up to 12% and if dry material is used - up to 7% and below. (authors)
