Shutdown safety plan: a proposal for Angra I NPP

Description

As part of an effort to improve the outage performance in Angra I NPP, this document presents elements aimed at the optimization of a nuclear power plant safety, operational reliability and availability. After some definitions (defence in depth, contingency procedures, high risk evolutions, risk levels, safety relevant functions), the document indicates the different responsibilities of the plant manager, plant operating review committee, outage manager, outage safety review group, and operating crews. Then, it describes the outage planning and control: outage management, defence in depth, contingency procedures, training, barriers and relevant safety functions, system status control, post outage assessment
