On role of catalytic additions of electron donor polar compounds in kinetics of electrophylic isotope substitution reactions of hydrogen

  • 1. Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Fiziko-Khimicheskij Inst., Moscow (USSR)

Description

The kinetics of the H-D-exchange reaction in 1.4-D2-durene with 100% trifluoroacetic acid in the course of introduction of triethyl amine, dimethyl aniline hexametapole, dimethyl acetamide and nitromethane is studied. Small, additives (2-3 mol.%) of these bases equally accelerate the reaction despite the difference in 24 uAits of pKsub(BH)sup(+) basicity constant values. At 10-20 mol.% of the additive the reaction is decelerated by 3-4 orders and most differentially, cymbatically to the strength of H-bond with acid. With account for panifestation of the latter in solvation of reagents and activated complex an explanation of complex a extremum kinetic dependences is suggested
