Autoradiographic investigation of heterogeneities in the structure of ion exchange membranes

Autoradiography was used as a method to investigate heterogeneities in the structure of cationite membranes. 134Cs was introduced into the membrane through ion exchange to serve as a tracer isotope. The method yielded both macroscopic autoradiographs indicating global arrangements of ion groups and microscopic autoradiographs showing the arrangements of the groups throughout the membrane sections determinable by means of light microscopy
Abstract (German)
Die Autoradiographie wurde als eine Methode zur Untersuchung der struklurellen Heterogenitāt in kationenaustauschenden Membranen angewandt. Als Markierungsisotop wurde 131Cs geiwāhlt, das durch Ionenaustausch in die Membranen eingefūhrt wurde. Es wurden makroskopische Autoradiogramme erhalten, die die globale Anordnung der Ionogengruppen, und mikroikopische, die die Anordnung der Gruppen in den lichtmikroskopisch abgrenzbaren Membranbestandteilen zeigen.Additional details
