Cyclopentadienyl-ruthenium and -osmium chemistry. XXXV Some ethynyl, vinylidene and related complexes
Creators

Description
The syntheses of several vinylidene- and ethynl-ruthenium complexes are described, starting from HC2SiMe3 and RuCI(L)2(η-C5H5) (L= PPh3, PMe3; L2 = dppe). Their properties and some reactions are reported. The metallacyclic complex [Ru[C4H2(SiMe3)2](PMe3)(η-C5H5)] [PF6] has also been isolated. The unsubstituted complexes are very reactive; for example, MeOH adds rapidly to the vinylidene to form the C(OMe)Me derivative. 19 refs., ills
