Current-induced superconducting - normal transition of zinc whiskers near the critical temperature
Description
The characteristics of the current-induced breakdown of superconductivity in Zn whiskers show a voltage step structure. Using the assumption of phase-slip centers for its interpretation, the quasiparticle diffusion length and the time averaged supercurrent above the critical current have been evaluated. (author)
