This article reviews and describes several procedures for overcoming one difficulty that is encountered when one attempts to define spinor fields on certain space-time manifolds. The presence of this problem is perhaps most strongly felt in the Euclidean functional integral approach to quantum gravity and, therefore, the discussion is restricted to this case. (Auth.)
