Construction of penning vacuum gauge jenis penning

To provide low cost spare parts of the cyclotron vacuum system, the construction of the penning vacuum gauge has been done. The vacuum gauge was made from a hollow aluminium cylinder for the cathode, astainless-steel wire for the anode, and a ring-shaped permanent magnet for the magnet. The result of the observation showed that the vacuum gauge was still sensitive to measure a pressure until 15X10-6 Torr, that means exceeding the plannd value. For all the pressure ranges, the anode voltage which gave the best linearity on the curve of electric current versus pressure was 2.000 volts. (authors). 3 refs.; 1 tab.; 5 figs
