Communication Received from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Concerning its Policies Regarding the Management of Plutonium. Statements on the Management of Plutonium and of High Enriched Uranium
Description
The Secretariat has received a note verbale dated 26 June 2009 from the Permanent Mission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the IAEA in the enclosures of which the Government, in keeping with its commitment under the Guidelines for the Management of Plutonium (contained in INFCIRC/549 of 16 March 1998 and hereinafter referred to as the 'Guidelines') and in accordance with Annexes B and C of the Guidelines, has made available annual figures for its holdings of civil unirradiated plutonium and the estimated amounts of plutonium contained in spent civil reactor fuel as of 31 December 2008.

General'nyj direktor poluchil ot Postojannogo predstavitel'stva Soedinennogo Korolevstva Velikobritanii i Severnoj Irlandii pri MAGATJe verbal'nuju notu ot 26 ijunja 2009 goda, v prilozhenijah k kotoroj v sootvetstvii s objazatel'stvom ego pravitel'stva v ramkah Rukovodjashhih principov obrashhenija s plutoniem (soderzhashhihsja v dokumente INFCIRC/549 ot 30 marta 1998 goda i v dal'nejshem imenuemyh 'Rukovodjashhimi principami') i soglasno prilozhenijam V i S jetih Rukovodjashhih principov ono predstavljaet ezhegodnye dannye o svoih zapasah grazhdanskogo neobluchennogo plutonija i ob ocenochnyh kolichestvah plutonija, soderzhashhegosja v otrabotavshem toplive grazhdanskih reaktorov, po sostojaniju na 31 dekabrja 2008 goda.
