Studies of Nearby Blazars with Milagro

Description
We have examined a sample of 47 blazars for evidence of TeV emission in the data collected with Milagro since 2000. Emission is clearly seen from Markarian 421, with the detected flux concentrated in two intervals coinciding with strong X-ray emission. No significant flux is detected from any of the other AGN, and flux limits are presented. For the blazars I Zw 187 and RGB 1725+118 the limits - including the effects of absorption by extragalactic background light (EBL) - exclude the empirical model of Fossati et al. for the flux
