Description
The physician coming to the rescue of patients accidentally exposed to radiation must rely on the findings that can be revealed within the bounds of a 'time course diagnosis'. This means that a limited number of parameters are ascertained and the appropriate time curves plotted. An analysis of the course of the registered symptomology during the first few hours and days permits patients to be classified on the basis of the type and severeness of clinical manifestations and initial therapeutic strategies to be developed. This report was written with the aim to discuss the diagnostic and predictive value of blood cell changes and to state our views on problems arising in this field. (orig./DG)
Abstract (German)
(orig./DG)Additional details
