Corrections to literature expressions for angular distributions of gamma reactions initiated by polarized particles

Description
We have rederived the expressions for the Legendre polynomial coefficients and compared them with the results of other authors for the angular distributions encountered in gamma reactions initiated by vector- or tensor-polarized (or unpolarized) particles of arbitrary spin. The original and the corrected formulas are presented in a Table. The phase factor necessary to correct the published Table of Differential Polarization coefficients for (gamma, particle) reactions is also presented
