Information about environmental effects of Bohunice NPPs V-1 and V-2 within December 2003

In this leaflet the results of monitoring of chemical gaseous and liquid effluents into the rivers Vah and Dudvah as well as of radiation monitoring of Bohunice V-1 and V-2 NPPs are presented. The radioactive effluents within a December 2003 (for NPP V-1 and NPP V-2, respectively) were: 0.809 TBq and 0.738 TBq of rare gases, 1.649 MBq and 0.336 MBq of aero-soles, 2.531 MBq and 0.174 MBq of iodine, 1.870 MBq and 1.513 MBq of corrosive and fission products, and 0.000005 TBq and 0.028 TBq of tritium. For the period January - December 2003 these radioactive effluents represent for rare gases 8.674 TBq for NPP V-1 and 8.747 TBq for NPP V-2 (17.421 TBq (0.436% of annually limit (AL) for the locality Bohunice)), for aerosols 149.342 MBq for NPP V-1 and 17.275 MBq for NPP V-2 (166.617 MBq (0.104% of AL for the locality Bohunice)), for corrosive and fission products 44.167 MBq for NPP V-1 and 33.146 MBq for NPP V-2 (77.312 MBq (0.20% of AL) for the locality Bohunice)), and for iodine 270.838 MBq for NPP V-1 and 2.278 MBq for NPP V-2 (273.116 MBq (0.210% of AL) for the locality Bohunice)), and for tritium it is 6.771 TBq for NPP V-1 and 6.203 TBq for NPP V-2 (12.974 TBq (29.69% of AL) for the locality Bohunice)
