Kinetic investigations of uranium and fission products solvent extraction from nitric acid solutions with tributyl phosphate (TBP-diluent)

Creators

Description

In the Lewis cell studied was an extraction of nitric acid, uranyl nitrate and products of fission by tributyl phosphate in diluents: carbon tetrachloride or parex-paraffin, which is a mixture of saturated C10-C14 hydrocarbons. The extraction rate depends on the mixing speed and is not dependent on the temperature. In the U(6)-HNO3 system at joint extraction by the TBP-CCl4 mixture the nitric acid is extracted earlier than U(6). With an increase of U(6) concentration in an organic phase the nitric acid reextracts up to equilibrium concentration
