Seismic evaluation of the main steam line 2 of the WWER 1000 Kozloduy NPP

Description
This report includes the seismic analysis of the main steam line of Kozloduy NPP Units 5 and 6 as part of the benchmark study. Available data and the additional assumptions are described with the procedure for the analysis and the calculation results are discussed. Calculation were performed by using different computer codes, German standard of the nuclear technical committee, KTA, and the ASME code. Under the conditions described in this report the investigated part of the main steam line is assessed to remain stable and integral during an earthquake. Strength of material at local discontinuities is predominant by the pressure term of normal operation
