Description

An RI calibrator with which activity of radioisotope can be measured quickly at a hospital, research laboratory, etc. has been developed. Using a well type chamber for the detector, this RI calibrator is capable of measuring gamma ray of a low energy, and with a background compensated measuring device, a sample placed in the ampule can be measured within a short period of time in a 6-decade range from 1μCi to 1Ci. Further with a Pico-Beta, nuclear species existing in the environment which discharge very small amount of beta ray can be measured quantitatively. Using a detector of special construction which self-contains two radioactive ray detectors, logic circuit, wave height analyzer, computer, etc., identification and quantitative measurement of nuclear species can be made through energy spector analyzation of a sample and arithmetic operations.
