Description
An esophageal probe containing a semiconductor detector was constructed for the examination of gastroesophageal reflux (GER) after partial gastrectomy. For the measurement 160 - 300 MBq 99mTc isotope and a scinticamera was applied. According to experiments with 42 surgery patients, this technique proved to be clinically feasible, because it could be applied to indicate the frequency and duration of bile GER with appropriate sensitivity.
